We are a forward-thinking startup in the food-tech industry focused on delivering hot coffee and related food products to consumers and businesses. We are embarking on an exciting journey with our first pilot location – a “CoffeeHut” kiosk located in East London. We will be preparing and delivering barista-style coffee from this kiosk and testing our patent-pending technology innovation that is disrupting the market.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated barista to join our small but ambitious team. As a key member, you will have the opportunity to engage with customers, craft delicious coffee beverages, and oversee the smooth operation of our kiosk. In addition to your barista duties, you'll also have the chance to prepare basic food items, ensuring that our customers enjoy a delightful experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
Take customer orders and prepare a variety of coffee and beverage items
Take orders from a tablet and hand out to a driver.
Operate our simple semi-automatic espresso machines and heat different types of milks
Ensure that all beverages are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces
Restock supplies as needed throughout the shift
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
Experience:
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety guidelines is an asset
Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
